How Color Psychology can Help Your Online Marketing

Created with AdcreatorDesign

Understanding the psychology of color in online marketing will help you learn how to engage your viewers into noticing your ads.

We all want to stand out more, so we don't want to use standard affiliate pages.   The reasons why are: no one will notice you; they will not get to know you, like you, and trust you; and they will not click on your pages or sign up to your autoresponder series.

You need get your viewers to see what you want them to see and feel what you want them to feel with your ads.  Understanding color psychology is very important for the success of your Splash, Squeeze, Landing,  or Lead Capture Pages.

By using persuasive colors on your Landing Pages, Splash Pages in AdCreatorDesign, you will draw the viewers one step closer to clicking on your ads and 1 step closer to a sale.

Even though color is not the most important thing in marketing today, it is imperative that they work with colors while making your ads.

93% of buyers focus on the visual appearance of an ad and just about 85% say that the color was the primary reason for purchase.

This list can vary from people and cultures so is not set in stone.  Here is a general list of colors and how they influence people.

Red:  sense of urgency, which is good for clearance sales;  encourages appetite, used by fast-food chains;  stimulates the body, raising blood pressure, heart rate -movement, excitement, and passion.

Blue: preferred color of men - peace, water, tranquility, reliability;  sense of security, curbs appetite, stimulates productivity;  most common color used by conservative brands looking to promote trust in their products.

Green: health, tranquility, power, nature;  used in stores to relax customers, for promoting environmental issues;  stimulates harmony in your brain, encourages a balance leading to making decisions.

Purple:  royalty, wisdom, respect; problem-solving, creativity;  used to promote beauty and anti-aging products.

Orange & Yellow:  cheerful colors that promote optimism;  yellow can make babies cry, while orange can trigger a sense of caution;  used to create sense of anxiety to draw in impulsive buyers and window shoppers.

Black:  authority, power, stability, strength;  symbol of intelligence, but becomes overwhelming if used too frequently.

Grey:  feelings of practicality, old age, and solidarity;  too much grey can lead to feelings of nothingness and depression.

White:  feelings of purity, cleanliness, safety;  used to project an absence of color or neutrality. White space helps spark creativity, an unaltered, clean state.

Use color contrasts to reduce eyestrain that allows readers to focus their attention on specific items.  Choosing brighter colors can lead people to feel more energetic, meaning better responses and reactions. If your pages have a lot of information, a darker color will make it easier for them to process all your info.

Don't forget to brand your pages with your picture as well.  People want to get to know a real person - someone they can match a name and face to.  People don't want to deal with a page that doesn't have a face.  This will also help them to get to know, like and trust you more.
